This week, the non-profit café Fair Shot will relocate, leaving Mayfair for a prominent location in The Yard in Covent Garden. Bianca Tavella started the company in 2019, to reduce the 94% unemployment rate among persons with learning difficulties by enlisting them in hospitality programs. Trainees are given a mentor and a job coach to help them into the job market. Saatchi Yates opened a new gallery in St James's to kick off the capital's cultural calendar this year. Omar El Lahib, a Lebanese artist, has taken over the brand-new 10,000-square-foot space for its first open-to-the-public exhibition. The solo show will feature 18 large-scale paintings that are set in the world of nocturnal where "darkness reigns, the mysterious takes shape, and the unconscious is at liberty to make itself heard." The display will be up until Wednesday, 15th March 2023, at which point the gallery will feature exhibitions focus on the work of profoundly avant-garde artists.
