It's bad news for anyone who love Disney: a new analysis determined that the airport in the Land of the Mouse has the worst record in the United States for flight delays and cancellations.

A new compilation by the vacation planning website According to research conducted by Family Destinations Guide, Orlando International Airport has earned the unenviable distinction of being ranked as the nation's worst in terms of the quality of the travel experience it provides, with 3.52 percent of its 2022 flights being cancelled. There was a delay of some kind for over thirty percent of all flights.

The roundup, which used data on flight delays and cancellations from the United States Bureau of Transportation, discovered that other airports in Florida, such as Tampa International and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, were among the worst for both types of delays and cancellations.

The second place went to Newark Liberty International Airport, which had 26.51 percent of its outward aircraft be late. Although Newark Airport is no longer regarded as within the New York City metropolitan region, John F. Kennedy International Airport, located in New York City, ranked eighth because 24.08 percent of flights in 2022 were delayed.

The approximately 13 million visitors who go to Disney World each year may not be happy to hear this, but there are measures to reduce the likelihood of experiencing delays or cancellations during their trip.

According to a spokesman for the Family Destinations Guide, "flights that depart earlier in the day have a tendency to have fewer delays; therefore, you should try and schedule an early flight wherever possible." "You might also try to book flights in the middle of the week, on a Tuesday or Wednesday, rather than a weekend, as less people travel on these days," the article continues. "This will help you get a better deal on your journey."

What airport do you think has the best probability of everything going smoothly? The rankings place Salt Lake City International Airport at the top of the list for this particular accolade. In the past year, only 14.18 percent of flights were delayed at Salt Lake City International Airport, which is a significant hub for Delta Air Lines and other airlines serving the western United States, while only 1.02 percent of flights were cancelled.
