Walt Disney World.

At Walt Disney World, sometimes known as the "Most Magical Place on Earth," there are now more things to do than there ever have been before. Dozens of resorts and four theme parks are spread out across the expansive land, which spans more than 40 square miles in total area. Guests planning a trip to Walt Disney World may be picturing thrilling roller coasters and time-honored attractions during their stay, but the resort also features two water parks for guests to enjoy. Both Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park have exciting attractions as well as calming water elements for guests to enjoy. There is something for every member of your family to enjoy, from the largest wave pool in North America to a lazy river that winds through a rainforest.

The water parks are also open all year round as a result of the sunny weather that can be expected in Central Florida for the most part throughout the year. The following is information that will assist you in planning a trip to one of the water parks located at Walt Disney World.

Water Parks

When Is the Best Time to Visit the Water Parks at Disney World?

Every day of the year, Walt Disney World is ready to welcome guests. The water parks at Disney World remain open throughout the year as well, however there may be short-term closures due to park maintenance or weather-related issues.

The theme park resort features two water parks, and it makes every effort to have at least one of them open during all operating hours. It is essential to confirm the opening dates and times well in advance, as the establishment may be forced to close for a variety of reasons, including inclement weather and reaching its maximum capacity. Even though they are theoretically open throughout the year, water parks may close during the winter because to the low temperatures; however, there is no need to worry about this happening because they will reopen once the weather warms up.

Water Park Tickets

Tickets for the Disney World Water Park

To enter any of Disney's water parks, guests need to purchase an additional ticket in addition to their regular park entrance; one-day park passes cost $69. There is now no need to make reservations in order to go to either of the water parks. Members of Disney Vacation Club and people who have annual passes are eligible for special discounts on room rates. Access to water parks can be added to theme park tickets with the Park Hopper Plus add-on option that is offered.

Annual passholders at Walt Disney World also have the option to add a water park and sports feature to their pass for an extra price. This feature grants passholders unrestricted admission to Walt Disney World water parks and does not impose any blackout dates. On certain evenings, for an additional fee, there are unique after-hours events that include DJ dances and exclusive themed cuisines. These parties take place after regular business hours.

Getting to the water parks is made much easier by the various transit choices that are available. Guests staying at hotels within the Walt Disney World resort are provided with complimentary bus transportation to and from the water parks, and complimentary parking is provided for any and all guests who choose to drive to the water parks.

Both of these water parks offer locker rentals, towel rentals, and free life jackets to their guests.

Compare and contrast Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.

Blizzard Beach Water Park

Blizzard Beach

The Disney theme park Blizzard Beach is designed to look like a winter wonderland even though it is located in the middle of Florida. The 66-acre park is designed in a way that is completely original, combining aspects of a ski resort with tropical flora and a vibrant Caribbean color palette. It is home to activities that are suitable for families, such as a wave pool that is one acre in size, a lazy river, water slides, and a beach-themed chair lift.

Mount Gush more's towering beacon is a popular attraction among those looking for an exciting experience. At the very top, tourists can take part in Summit Plummet, which is both the tallest and the fastest free-fall body slide in the whole world. Every body of water in the park is kept at a comfortable temperature, with the exception of an area of "melting snow" in the ice cave of the park's lazy river, Cross Country Creek.

The well-loved Disney film Frozen served as the catalyst for recent renovations at the theme park, which were just completed. Tike's Peak now has an igloo castle that Olaf, Elsa, and Anna have designed especially for guests with a height restriction of less than 48 inches. In addition to its polar-themed slides, wading pool, and water jets, this water park features statues based on the film's endearing Snowier friends. A beach with soft sand invites visitors to construct sandcastles or simply soak up some rays.

The park features nine different food and drink establishments, and its offerings include both traditional fare typical of theme parks, such as foot-long hot dogs, and more creative fare, such as plant-based and globally inspired bowls. One of the most well-liked items on the menu is the "Ice Dream Sand Pail Sundae," which is a communal frozen dessert that is served in the beachfront bucket. There are a number of bars located around the wave pool's beach, one of which is called the Polar Pub. These pubs provide refreshing tropical beverages including margaritas and rum runners.

The amusement park provides customers who like to relax with their own own shaded deck that is furnished with facilities such as lounge chairs and a locker for an additional cost in the form of private patios.

Water park known as Typhoon Lagoon

Typhoon Lagoon

The story that is told at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is about a tropical paradise that once existed but was later devastated by a typhoon. The park is adorned with fishing gear and surfboards that were abandoned after the made-up disaster. The park's namesake, Miss Tilly, is an abandoned shrimp trawler that sits atop Mount Mayday. She serves as a lighthouse for visitors. The man-made mountain, which is connected to the largest wave pool in North America, bursts a geyser into the ultra-modern bathing area every half an hour. The geyser is fifty feet tall. In addition to hosting bodysurfing and private surfing instruction, the huge lagoon features waves that can reach heights of up to six feet.

Crush 'n' Gusher is a thrilling raft ride for two, while Miss Adventure Falls is an immersive whitewater family adventure. Both of these attractions can be found on the expansive property that also houses many other family-friendly attractions. The water playground at Ketchakiddee Creek was specifically conceived with children under the age of 10 in mind, and it features water cannons in addition to tiny slides. Castaway Creek is a more than 2,000-foot long meandering river that is ornamented with lush rainforests, waterfalls, and misters. Those who are looking to unwind can enjoy Castaway Creek.

There are various restaurants to choose from, such as Leaning Palms, which serves bowls with a Caribbean flavor profile in addition to the usual fare found in amusement parks. At the Snack Shack, fans of the frozen delight known as Dole Whip can try out some exciting new variations of the treat. A watering establishment known as Let's Go Slurring' can be found on its sandy beaches. This watering area serves frozen drinks and specialty cocktails such as the Typhoon Tilly. Additionally, there are two picnic spots within the park, and visitors are welcome to bring their own picnic baskets and coolers.

Private covered spaces are available to guests of Beachcomber Shacks for an additional cost, which results in an enhanced experience.
