Is there a better way to celebrate Holi in London than by dousing people with colored powder? Holi sometimes referred to as the "Festival of Colors," is a Hindu holiday that is observed by Sikhs, Jains, and nonreligious people alike throughout the Indian subcontinent. Even yet, anyone who wants to join in the fun can attend several activities taking place outside of India.

The event is observed in the month of Phalgun on the Hindu calendar, which typically falls between February and March. The Hindu holiday of Holi, which this year falls on March 8th, is a celebration of the divinity Radha Krishna. Yet, as Holi celebrates the victory of the Hindu deity Vishnu (also known as Narasimha Narayana) over Hiranyakashipu, it also represents the victory of good over evil.

These are our picks for the finest ways to celebrate the colorful holiday of Holi in London if you wish to join in.
