Joska received the highest past-guest honor from Holland America Line at ten after sailing for 700 days.

Joska has four legs, unlike most cruisers awarded the Platinum Medallion.
Joska, a devoted service dog, frequently cruises with her legally blind owners Cornelis and Connie Marinussen, according to the cruise line provided to Travel + Leisure.

The Rotterdam's current 150th-anniversary transatlantic crossing was the occasion for the great honor bestowed to the black Labrador dog, who has traveled to ports in Alaska and Hawaii, Canada, Europe, the Caribbean, and more.
Joska has taken part in over 50 Holland America cruises since 2014.

Holland America Line President Gus Antorcha said in a statement provided to T+L that "Joska is the first service animal to achieve this exalted position, and we wanted to recognize her with an occasion that shows her how valuable she is to everyone in our company."
All Holland America Line ships accept registered service animals, and Joska has become a member of our family.
She not only lifts everyone's spirits on board but also enables Connie to pursue her passion for traveling and cruising.

This week, a special ceremony to honor Joska for her accomplishments, and she with a medal and other dog-friendly Holland America Line-branded presents.

Joska's Dutch owners have been sailing with Holland America since 2013 and have previously earned their Platinum medals and the dog herself.

According to the cruise line, Holland America does not let pets or emotional support animals on board but does accept service animals.

Consider Cunard if you're looking to take your pet on a cruise; on transatlantic voyages, pets are welcome to remain in one of the ship's kennels, and owners are to visit them.
